About TopToolAdvisor

TopToolAdvisor is a directory of software shortlists built around one question: which product fits the job in front of you. A restaurant owner choosing a reservation system and an operations lead choosing a help desk both deserve a short, comparable list instead of a page of logos.

We organize categories two ways. By function, such as CRM, payroll, help desk or project management. By industry, such as software for restaurants, law firms, construction firms or clinics. Each shortlist compares 8 to 10 products, scores all of them the same way, quotes each vendor's price exactly as the vendor publishes it, and lists the date we checked. Where a list cites market figures, they come from 430 statistics across 8 reports, each linked to its original publisher. There are 48 shortlists on the site today.

Who is behind it

Pages are published under the name of the TopToolAdvisor research desk. You will not find staff bios, invented reviewers or expert panels here, because we would rather show our method than a face.

What our scores are and are not

Scores come from documented features, vendor help centers and published price sheets. We do not claim to have used each product hands-on. A score is an editorial assessment made with a published, fixed method, and you can read every step of it on our methodology page.

Money

TopToolAdvisor has no affiliate deals, owns no part of any vendor and sells no placement in its rankings. The disclosure page keeps the current status.
