Autodesk Forma Build scores high on features but lower on ease of use and value, which places it seventh for most general contractors. The construction operations bundle combines Forma Data Management, Forma Build, Pype AutoSpecs and Pype Closeout, covering project management with an automatic submittal log, cost management, quality and safety management and project closeout, on top of document management, issue management, reporting, insights and mobile access. Separate bundles add preconstruction, with takeoff, estimating, bid management and subcontractor qualification through BuildingConnected and TradeTapp, and model management, with design collaboration, model coordination, clash detection and 4D and 5D simulation. That breadth is the main reason to choose it, especially for firms already working in Autodesk design files. The drawbacks are quote-only pricing and a product lineup with many names, so plan time to work out which bundle you need before you ask for a price.
