Acumatica suits small companies that already know they will need industry depth. Its General Business edition covers financials, project accounting, payroll, multi-entity accounting, CRM and reporting, and separate editions add manufacturing, construction, distribution, professional services and retail functions. The manufacturing edition, for example, includes multi-level bills of materials and routing, production management and material requirements planning. Acumatica says the product was designed for small and mid-market businesses, and its site publishes a comparison against QuickBooks aimed at companies making that move. The weakness for a first ERP is cost visibility: there is no public price list, so you will need a quote and an implementation estimate before you can compare it with Business Central or Odoo. It also asks more of your team during setup than the simpler tools on this list.
