Emburse is an established travel and expense vendor that now sells cards, AP automation and payments alongside its expense products. Its platform covers expense, travel, AP, cards, invoices and ACH payments with localization for more than 100 countries. Emburse says its AI categorizes spend into 39+ categories, reconciles VAT across countries and enforces policy before an expense is submitted, and Emburse Assurance adds a compliance layer that checks receipts before and after submission to catch errors, fraud and policy violations. Virtual and physical cards, automated reimbursements and multi-level approvals are part of the expense offer, with integrations for Sage Intacct, NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics and QuickBooks. The product range is split into Expense Professional for small to mid-size companies, Expense Enterprise, Emburse Spend and Captio for Europe, which gives buyers options but also makes the lineup confusing. Prices are only available through sales, and purchasing controls are less developed than on Ramp, Payhawk or Precoro.
