LinkedIn ranks second because it reaches professionals in a way general boards do not, and its self-serve pricing is easy to cap. Through Hiring Pro you can keep one free job post open, visible in search and to your connections. Promoting a post makes it eligible for the top position, adds advanced targeting by location and industry, and turns on AI help that drafts the post, presorts applicants, summarizes them and suggests 25 new candidates a day to invite. You pay per click in the country of the job, with either a daily budget or a total budget that pauses the post once spent. LinkedIn's own example puts a $10 daily budget over 30 days at $300 or less. The weak points are cost and limits: clicks are priced by an algorithm based on location and competing posts, so you only learn the real cost after posting, and a second free post means closing the first. For hourly roles, Indeed usually draws more applicants per dollar.
Who it is for
Employers hiring salaried professional, office and management roles who want to reach people by industry and job title.
Price
