Viewpoint Vista is Trimble's construction ERP for contractors that have outgrown small business accounting. Job-cost accounting tracks work in progress, takes budgets and change orders directly or from estimating and project management tools, and lets managers drill from summary costs into detailed reports. Automated invoicing turns PDF invoices into validated, unapproved entries, and Trimble Pay handles payment processing. Vista's HR and payroll side is built for complex workforces, covering union, multi-state, multi-company and contractual construction payroll. Service management, equipment management and analytics round out the system. That breadth suits large self-performing contractors with fleets and union crews, but it comes with an enterprise sales process: pricing is not published, and implementation is a significant project. Small and mid-sized trades will get faster value from Foundation, Sage 100 Contractor or a QuickBooks add-on.
