10 Best AI Video Generators of 2026

By the TopToolAdvisor research desk · Updated November 6, 2026 · Next review December 21, 2026 · 10 products scored

Our pickGoogle FlowTeams already on Google AI plans that want Veo video with a free daily allowance.8.9

Our pick in brief

Runway is our first pick because one $12 plan on annual billing reaches its own Gen-4.5 model, third-party models such as Kling 4.0 and Seedance, and a Runway Ads workflow, with no watermarks and 4K upscaling. Google Flow is the best value, with 50 free credits a day, Veo 3.1 and Gemini Omni, and paid tiers from $7.99 a month. HeyGen is the pick for presenter-led videos, custom avatars and translation into 175+ languages. Kling has the longest single clips at 30 seconds for under $10 a month, Synthesia is the simplest script-to-avatar tool, and Pika wraps models in quick apps for product ads and captions. Higgsfield targets UGC-style ad volume, Captions suits talking-head content on a phone, Luma offers HDR output at a higher entry price, and InVideo AI adds a multiplayer timeline editor.

Quick answer

Runway is the best AI video generator for marketing teams in 2026, at $12 a month billed annually; Google Flow suits marketers who want Veo 3.1 with a free daily allowance, and HeyGen suits presenter-led and translated videos from $24 a month billed annually; Google AI Plus is the cheapest paid option at $7.99 a month, and Runway, Google Flow, HeyGen, Kling, Synthesia, Pika and Captions have free plans.

This list is for marketing managers, social media teams and small agencies choosing a tool to make short videos from text prompts, product photos or scripts. We compared documented features and published prices for 10 generators, from model-first studios such as Runway, Kling and Luma to avatar platforms such as HeyGen and Synthesia and template-led apps such as Pika, Higgsfield and Captions, and scored each on features, ease of use and value. Prices are the cheapest paid plan in US dollars as shown on the vendor's pages on the date we checked. InVideo AI showed euros from our location, so its price is marked as pending. OpenAI's Sora is not included because OpenAI discontinued the Sora app and API in 2026, and Adobe Firefly is not included because its plan pages could not be checked from our location.

    Price

Free with 50 daily credits; Google AI Plus $7.99 per month, Google AI Pro $19.99 per month

Quoted from the Google Flow pricing page on November 6, 2026: Google AI Plus $7.99/mo

Google Flow is how most people reach Veo, Google's video model, and it is the cheapest serious option here. Without any subscription a Google account gets 50 Flow credits a day, Veo 3.1 Lite, Gemini Omni clips up to 10 seconds, and tools such as Text to Video, Frames to Video, Ingredients to Video and Scenebuilder. Google AI Plus at $7.99 a month adds 200 monthly credits, longer Omni clips, video extension and 720p to 1080p upscaling, and Google AI Pro at $19.99 raises that to 1,000 credits and bundles Gemini and 5 TB of storage. For a marketer storyboarding a product teaser from a few reference images, Ingredients to Video and Characters keep subjects consistent across shots. The trade-offs are that full Veo access and 4K upscaling sit on higher tiers, features vary by region and platform, and credits belong to an individual Google plan, so there is no shared team workspace or brand kit like HeyGen or Runway offer.

    Strengths

    • +50 daily Flow credits even without a subscription
    • +Google AI Plus starts at $7.99 a month
    • +Pro bundles Gemini, 5 TB of storage and 1,000 monthly Flow credits

    Drawbacks

    • −Free and Plus tiers include Veo 3.1 Lite rather than full Veo
    • −Features vary by tier, platform and region, and users must be 18 or older
    • −Credits and tools are tied to a personal Google AI plan rather than a team workspace

    Runway

A browser and mobile studio for generating and editing video and images with Runway's Gen-4.5 and third-party models.

    Price

Free plan with 125 one-time credits; Standard $12 per month billed annually or $15 billed monthly

Quoted from the Runway pricing page on November 6, 2026: For curious creators trying AI video $15 $12 /month

Runway is the most complete generator on this list for a marketing team that makes short clips from text and images. One subscription covers Runway's own Gen-4.5 and Gen-4 Turbo models plus third-party models such as Kling 4.0, Seedance and Nano Banana Pro, so a designer can test the same product shot across several engines without a second account. Runway Ads adds a workflow to generate, test and publish ads, and the agentic creative collaborator helps build a sequence from a brief. Paid plans remove watermarks and include 4K upscaling, and music, voice and sound effects generation keep simple edits inside the tool. The limit is volume: the $12 Standard plan's 625 credits buy about 52 seconds of Gen-4.5 video, so teams producing several ads a week will likely need Pro at $28 or Max at $76 on annual billing. Brand Kits and voice clones also start on Pro.

    Strengths

    • +Standard plan is $12 a month on annual billing
    • +One credit pool covers Runway and third-party video models
    • +Pro adds a Brand Kit and a custom voice clone

    Drawbacks

    • −625 Standard credits equal about 52 seconds of Gen-4.5 video

    Price

Free plan with 3 watermarked videos a month; Creator $24 per month billed annually or $29 monthly

Quoted from the HeyGen pricing page on November 6, 2026: the Creator plan costs $29/month (or $24/month if you pay annually)

HeyGen is the strongest choice when a marketing video needs a person on screen. Its avatar engines (Avatar III, IV and V) turn a script into a presenter clip, and the Creator plan lets you build a custom avatar with your own voice and likeness, then translate it into 175+ languages and dialects. Video Agent drafts a full video from a prompt, and HeyGen Video 1 generates footage from text, images or references, so b-roll and presenter shots can come from one tool. Pro at $49 a month adds Seedance 2.5 and Veo 3.1, 4K export and videos up to 30 minutes. Teams get a shared workspace, brand kit, SAML/SSO and integrations with HubSpot, Zapier, n8n and Make on Business at $149 a month plus $20 per extra seat. The free plan is useful for testing, but its videos are watermarked and capped at one minute, and the per-seat cost of Business adds up for larger teams.

    Strengths

    • +Free plan includes Avatar IV and Video Agent
    • +Pro adds Seedance 2.5 and Veo 3.1 without a second subscription
    • +Credits roll over for one month

    Drawbacks

    • −Free videos are watermarked and capped at 1 minute
    • −Shared workspaces start at $149 a month plus $20 per seat

    Price

Free Basic plan; Standard $10 a month, then $8.8 a month on a monthly subscription

Quoted from the Kling AI pricing page on November 6, 2026: Then $8.8/month

Kling is the value pick for teams that care most about motion quality and clip length. Kling 4.0 supports Omni reference, multiple keyframes and native generation up to 30 seconds, which means fewer cuts when building a product loop or a short story ad. Kling 3.0 adds synchronized audio and video plus intelligent storyboarding, and Motion Control copies movement and facial expression from a reference. Subscribers get native 1080p and 4K generation, watermark removal, commercial use rights and unlimited queued tasks. The Standard plan lists at $10 a month with 660 credits and renews at $8.8 a month, and Kling 4.0 also appears inside Runway, Luma and Pika, so some teams reach it through another tool. What Kling lacks for marketing departments is collaboration: the membership page shows no shared workspace, brand kit or approvals, and the first-month offers make it harder to compare costs over a year.

    Strengths

    • +Paid plans start under $10 a month
    • +Native 30 second clips reduce stitching
    • +Subscribers get commercial use and unlimited queued tasks

    Drawbacks

    • −Promotions and first-month discounts make list prices harder to compare
    • −No team workspace or brand kit features on the membership page
    • −API access is sold separately in prepaid packages from $500

  5. No. 5

    Synthesia

An AI video platform for avatar-led videos from scripts, documents and prompts, with dubbing and translation.

    8.0

    Price

Free Basic plan; Starter $19 per month billed monthly, $9 for the first month

Quoted from the Synthesia pricing page on November 6, 2026: then $19 /mo billed monthly

Synthesia is built for script-to-presenter video and is the easiest tool here for teams with no editing experience. You paste a script, choose one of 125+ avatars on Starter or 180+ on Pro, and the editor assembles the scene, while the AI Video Assistant can start from a document or prompt instead. Dubbing and translation reuse the same credits, which helps when one product video has to ship in several markets. The free Basic plan gives 10 minutes of Studio video a month with a watermark, and Starter at $19 a month adds downloads, logo removal and 1,250 credits on top of that allowance. Pro at $89 adds five personal avatars, branded video pages and interactive videos. The limits are the focus and the price ladder: Synthesia does not offer cinematic text-to-video like Runway or Kling, and Brand Kits, SSO and live collaboration sit on custom-priced Enterprise.

    Strengths

    • +Free plan includes 10 minutes of Studio video a month
    • +Starter's first month costs $9
    • +Credits are one shared pool for video, dubbing and surveys

    Drawbacks

    • −Free videos carry a Synthesia watermark and cannot be downloaded
    • −Pro jumps to $89 a month after the first month
    • −Brand Kits and live team collaboration are Enterprise features

    Price

Free plan with credit packs; Starter $10 per month billed monthly

Quoted from the Pika pricing page on November 6, 2026: Starter 600 credits / month $10

Pika is the most template-driven tool on this list, which suits marketers who want a result fast rather than a blank prompt box. Apps such as Product Ad, Dynamic Captions, Swap Anything, Motion Transfer and Extend Video wrap the models in a single purpose, so a social manager can turn a product photo into an ad or add animated captions in a few steps. Behind the apps sit Pika's own H3 Flex, Pika 2.5 and Pikaframes models plus Kling 4.0, Seedance 2.5, MiniMax H3 and Wan 3.0, and the same account covers image, speech, music and sound effects generation. The free plan has no watermark but no commercial license, so any brand use needs Starter at $10 a month with 600 credits. Starter allows two parallel video generations, and the priority queue and early access to models are reserved for Fancy at $95, which matters for teams on deadlines.

    Strengths

    • +Free plan has no watermark and access to all models
    • +Commercial license starts at $10 a month
    • +Yearly billing saves 20%

    Drawbacks

    • −Free plan has no commercial license
    • −Starter allows only 2 parallel video generations

    Price

Free plan; Max $24.99 per month (iOS prices in USD)

Quoted from the Captions pricing page on November 6, 2026: Max Use generative AI to make new footage, AI actors and more $24.99/mo

Captions started as a captioning app and now covers much of the short-form workflow on a phone. AI Ads, AI Creator and AI Skits generate finished videos from a prompt, digital twins and custom AI actors stand in for a presenter, and Clips cuts a long recording into post-ready shorts. Captions in 100+ languages, AI Translate and AI Lipdub help repurpose one video for several markets, and a chat-based editor applies changes from plain instructions. The free plan keeps teleprompter, trimming, captions and basic editing, but generative features need Max at $24.99 a month with 500 credits or Frontier from $69.99 for the most advanced models. It is less suited to cinematic product footage than Runway or Kling, the published prices reflect iOS plans, and team purchasing goes through a separate sales-led business product, so a larger marketing department should confirm terms before rolling it out.

    Strengths

    • +Free plan covers editing and captions
    • +Max includes 500 AI credits a month
    • +Chat-based editor handles changes for you

    Drawbacks

    • −Listed prices reflect iOS plans only
    • −Free plan has no AI usage credits
    • −Business features sit in a separate sales-led product

    8.4

    Price

Starter $19 per month billed yearly; Plus $47 per month billed yearly or $59 monthly

Quoted from the Higgsfield pricing page on November 6, 2026: Starter For first-time AI creators $19

Higgsfield is aimed squarely at people making ads and short-form social content. Alongside general image and video generation it offers Marketing Studio, Ads Studio, Shorts Studio and an AI Influencer tool for UGC-style talking avatars, so a growth marketer can produce many ad variants from one product. The model menu includes Seedance 2.5, Nano Banana Pro, Seedream 5.0 Pro and GPT Image 2.6, and Plus and Ultra plans add unlimited use of selected models, such as Seedance 2.5 at 720p on Plus. The catch is the entry tier: Starter at $19 a month billed yearly includes 270 credits, about 15 Seedance 2.0 Fast videos, with access to selected models only. Unlimited models also run only on the website, not through MCP, CLI or Canvas, and the pricing page lists no free plan and frequent promotions, which make costs harder to forecast.

    Strengths

    • +Plus includes unlimited Seedance 2.5 at 720p
    • +Built-in studios target ads and short-form content
    • +Annual billing saves up to 30%

    Drawbacks

    • −No free plan listed on the pricing page

Plus $30 per month or $300 billed yearly; no free plan listed

Quoted from the Luma Dream Machine pricing page on November 6, 2026: Plus $30 /month $300 billed yearly

Luma's Dream Machine platform pairs its own Ray3.2 and Ray3.14 video models with a broad set of third-party models, including Kling 4.0, Seedance 2.5, Veo 3.1 and MiniMax H3, all paid from one credit balance. Ray3.2 generates from text or images at up to 1080p and offers HDR and HDR+EXR output, which appeals to creative teams that grade footage in post. Luma Agents help plan and run multi-step creative work, with more agent usage on Pro and Ultra, and Plus already includes commercial use and edit access for guest collaborators. The weak point is value at the entry level: Plus costs $30 a month or $300 a year with 10,000 credits, and a 5 second 1080p Ray3.2 clip costs 400 credits, so heavy users move to Pro at $90 quickly. The pricing page lists no free plan, and team features such as SSO and usage analytics require contacting sales.

    Strengths

    • +Commercial use included on Plus
    • +Guest collaborators can be given edit access
    • +HDR and EXR output suit professional grading

    Drawbacks

    • −No free plan listed on the pricing page
    • −Plus starts at $30 a month, the highest entry price here
    • −A 5 second 1080p Ray3.2 clip uses 400 of Plus's 10,000 monthly credits

We could not confirm a US price yet. Check the InVideo AI pricing page.

InVideo AI combines generation with a conventional editor, which helps teams that still need to cut, color and mix their videos after the AI step. Agent Two turns a prompt into a draft video, the timeline editor includes color, audio and 3D tools, and multiplayer editing lets up to 5 seats work together on Starter, 10 on Plus and 20 on Max. Plans bundle premium stock footage and storage, and Plus unlocks all Seedance models, including Seedance 2.5 at 1080p, plus the Pro and Ultra agents. The trade-offs are in the credit rules: Starter includes 400 credits per seat a month, enough for about 15 Seedance 2 Fast videos, unused credits do not roll over, and InVideo reserves the right to change credit costs without notice. The pricing page showed euros from our location, so the US dollar price is pending.

    Strengths

    • +Full timeline editor is included on every plan
    • +Team seats and multiplayer editing are built in

What to check before you buy

Decide between generated footage and presenter video

Runway, Google Flow, Kling, Luma and Pika generate footage from prompts and images, which suits product shots, b-roll and visual ads. HeyGen, Synthesia and Captions center on avatars or a presenter reading a script, which suits explainers, updates and talking-head social posts. Many teams use one of each.

Convert credits into seconds of video

Almost every plan here is sold in credits, and credit costs differ by model and resolution. Runway's 625 Standard credits equal about 52 seconds of Gen-4.5, while a 5 second 1080p Ray3.2 clip uses 400 of the 10,000 credits on Luma Plus. Estimate how many finished seconds you need per month, then add room for retakes.

Check commercial rights and watermarks

Free plans often exclude commercial use or add watermarks. Pika's free plan has no commercial license, HeyGen and Synthesia free videos are watermarked, and Kling grants commercial use to subscribers. Confirm the plan you buy covers paid ads and client work.

Look at team features before you buy seats

HeyGen Business adds a shared workspace, brand kit and SAML/SSO at $149 a month plus $20 per extra seat, InVideo AI includes multiplayer editing from Starter, and Luma's Team plan adds shared credits and SSO through sales. Runway includes a Brand Kit from Pro. Tools like Google Flow and Kling are built around individual accounts.

Test several models through one subscription

Runway, Luma, Pika, Higgsfield and HeyGen Pro let you run third-party models such as Kling 4.0, Seedance 2.5 or Veo 3.1 from the same credit pool. That makes it easier to compare outputs for the same brief without paying for several separate subscriptions.

What happened to OpenAI Sora?
OpenAI's help center says the Sora web and app experiences were discontinued on April 26, 2026, and the Sora API on September 24, 2026, so it is not on this list.
What is the cheapest AI video generator?
Google AI Plus costs $7.99 a month and adds 200 monthly Google Flow credits on top of the 50 free daily credits. Kling Standard renews at $8.8 a month, and Pika Starter costs $10 a month with a commercial license.
Which AI video generators have a free plan?
Runway, Google Flow, HeyGen, Kling, Synthesia, Pika and Captions have free plans. Most add watermarks, limit length or exclude commercial use, so check the terms before publishing free-plan videos in ads.

HeyGen and Synthesia are built for avatar videos. HeyGen offers custom avatars with your own voice and translation into 175+ languages from $24 a month billed annually, while Synthesia starts at $19 a month and focuses on turning scripts and documents into presenter videos.
