10 Best HVAC Software of 2026
By the TopToolAdvisor research desk · Updated November 6, 2026 · Next review December 21, 2026 · 10 products scored
Our pick in brief
Housecall Pro is the best all-round pick for HVAC companies with a handful of trucks: it publishes its prices, and its MAX plan adds recurring service plans, sales proposals and route optimization. ServiceTitan is the most complete system for larger shops, with customizable memberships in every package, but you must request a quote. Service Fusion gives unlimited users at a flat monthly price, Workiz and FieldEdge pair flat-rate pricebooks with service plans and agreements, and FieldPulse has the most detailed maintenance agreement workflow. Jobber, ServiceM8 and Kickserv are cheaper general field service tools, and Successware suits shops that want accounting built in.
Quick answer
Housecall Pro is the best HVAC software for small and growing HVAC companies in 2026, from $59 a month billed annually, with recurring service plans on its MAX plan; ServiceTitan suits larger residential and commercial contractors that want memberships, call booking and payroll in one system, priced per technician by quote. ServiceM8 is the cheapest option, with a free plan for one user and paid plans from $29 a month.
This list is for HVAC owners and office managers choosing software to book and dispatch service calls, quote repairs and replacements, invoice from the truck and sell recurring maintenance agreements. We compared documented features and published prices for 10 field service systems that sell to HVAC contractors and scored each on features, ease of use and value. Prices are the cheapest paid plan in US dollars as shown on the vendor's own pricing page on the date we checked. Several HVAC-focused vendors sell by quote only, so their prices are marked as pending. Check which plan includes service agreements or memberships, because that feature often sits on a higher tier.

Price
Basic from $59 per month billed annually for 1 user; Essentials $149 and MAX $299 per month billed annually
Quoted from the Housecall Pro pricing page on November 6, 2026:
Save $20/mo $59 /mo (Billed annually)
Housecall Pro ranks first because it pairs an easy app with prices you can see before a sales call. Basic costs $59 a month billed annually and covers online booking, scheduling and dispatching, quotes and invoices with online payments for 1 user. Essentials, at $149 billed annually, includes 5 users and adds routes, GPS tracking, commissions and a QuickBooks Online sync. MAX, at $299 billed annually with 8 users, is the plan most HVAC shops will want, since it adds recurring service plans for maintenance agreements, a sales proposal tool and route optimization. The HVAC page describes good, better, best proposals on replacements, AI Pricing Insights, progress invoicing for changeouts and auto-billing of maintenance plans. The trade-off is that the agreement tools sit on the top published plan, and extra MAX users cost $35 a month each. There is no contract, and the 14-day trial unlocks every MAX feature.
Strengths
- +Prices are published in USD with no contract required
- +14-day free trial gives access to every MAX feature
- +HVAC page covers equipment changeouts, financing and maintenance plan billing
Drawbacks
- −Recurring service plans need the $299 MAX plan

We could not confirm a US price yet. Check the ServiceTitan pricing page.
ServiceTitan has the deepest feature set on this list for HVAC contractors who sell memberships at scale. All three packages, Starter, Essentials and The Works, list dispatching, scheduling, call booking, invoicing, a pricebook, mobile estimates, payroll management, advanced reporting, commission tracking and customizable memberships, so agreement selling is not held back for the top tier. The Works swaps in configurable payroll. For commercial HVAC, ServiceTitan describes service agreement software for recurring work at commercial properties, job costing for labor and materials, a client portal where customers request work orders and pay invoices, and proposals that convert to agreements when the customer accepts. Optional Pro products cover marketing, a contact center, scheduling, dispatch and fleet. The drawbacks are cost visibility and size: pricing is per technician and only available on request, and a platform this broad asks more of the office during setup than Housecall Pro or Jobber.
Strengths
- +Memberships are included in every package
- +Covers both residential service and commercial HVAC work
- +Large set of optional Pro products for marketing, contact centers and dispatch
Drawbacks
- −No published prices, every package is by request
- −Broad platform takes more setup than lighter tools

We could not confirm a US price yet. Check the FieldEdge pricing page.
FieldEdge is built for HVAC, plumbing and electrical shops that run several trucks. Every plan includes dispatching, call booking, work orders, scheduling, invoices, a pricebook with flat-rate pricing, integrated payments, SMS texting and QuickBooks Online and Desktop sync. Service agreements are basic on Select and advanced on Premier and Elite, and Premier adds advanced dispatching, multi-option quotes, performance and commission tracking and 10 saved reports. Elite adds Proposal Pro for kitchen-table good, better, best presentations, MarketingEdge with two-way texting for upselling agreements, outbound call recording and warehouse inventory. Each plan includes an onboarding specialist and access to the Navigator video knowledge base. The weak points are price transparency and seat counts: all three plans are by request, and they include 2, 4 or 6 mobile app licenses, so larger crews should ask what extra technician licenses cost.
Strengths
- +Built around HVAC, plumbing and electrical service work
- +QuickBooks Online and Desktop sync on all plans
- +Onboarding specialist included with every plan
Drawbacks
- −No published prices
- −Plans include only 2, 4 or 6 mobile app licenses

Price
Starter from $208 per month billed annually or $245 month to month, unlimited users; Plus $325 and Pro $533 per month billed annually
Quoted from the Service Fusion pricing page on November 6, 2026:
Starter $208 Per Month (billed annually) Unlimited Users
Service Fusion stands out for pricing by company rather than by user. Every plan includes unlimited users, so adding a dispatcher, a CSR or a seasonal tech does not change the bill. Starter costs $208 a month billed annually, or $245 month to month, and covers customer management, estimates and jobs, scheduling and dispatching, integrated payments, invoicing, a QuickBooks integration, reporting and text alerts. Plus, at $325 billed annually, adds job photo uploads, inventory management, job costing and integrated voice and text. Customer web portals, eSign documents, progressive billing with recurring invoicing, ServiceCall.ai and GPS fleet tracking are listed as add-ons on Starter. Service Fusion also offers a flat rate integration and homeowner financing. The downside is that a one-truck shop pays more than it would with Jobber or Housecall Pro Basic, and the pricing page does not list a dedicated membership module.
Strengths
- +Unlimited users on every plan
- +Published prices for monthly and annual billing
- +Flat rate integration and homeowner financing are available
Drawbacks
- −Entry price is high for a one-truck shop
- −Recurring invoicing and the customer portal are add-ons on Starter

See vendor pricing (USD check pending); Standard, Pro and Ultimate plans by request
We could not confirm a US price yet. Check the Workiz pricing page.
Workiz has one of the most HVAC-specific feature pages here. It describes service plans to fill slow months with maintenance work, good, better, best sales proposals, flat-rate pricebooks for techs, and equipment tracking that stores model numbers, serial numbers, installation dates and service history. Genius AI Answering responds to calls, emails and texts, which matters when the phones ring nonstop in July. A JB Warranties integration lets contractors sell extended protection, and consumer financing breaks large system sales into monthly payments. Multi-day project tools handle milestone billing on big installs. The catch is the plan structure: the pricing page shows Standard, Pro and Ultimate with prices by request, and service plans, flat rate, equipment tracking, sales proposals and inventory are all Ultimate features. Standard includes 5 automations, Pro 10 and Ultimate 30.
Strengths
- +HVAC page covers service plans, equipment tracking and extended warranties
- +AI answering helps in peak season
- +Multi-day project tools for large installs
Drawbacks
- −Prices are now by request only
- −Service plans, flat rate and equipment tracking need Ultimate

See vendor pricing (USD check pending); seat-based custom quote
We could not confirm a US price yet. Check the FieldPulse pricing page.
FieldPulse documents its maintenance agreement workflow in more detail than any other vendor here. A tech adds the plan to the estimate or invoice already in progress, and FieldPulse creates the agreement once the customer accepts or pays, counting today's job as the first visit. Agreements can be saved as templates and can bundle services on separate schedules, such as a twice-a-year tune-up and a yearly inspection. Visits land on the dispatch board automatically, either in the first open slot or on a fixed day each cycle, and plans can sell a bank of on-demand visits. The office sees what is due, overdue or up for renewal, and automatic reminders go out before an agreement ends. Billing can run on its own cadence, with two-way QuickBooks Online sync. The Maverick AI assistant is included on all plans. The drawback is that pricing is seat-based and quote only.
Strengths
- +The most detailed agreement workflow among the tools we compared
- +Can combine two services due the same month into one trip
- +AI office assistant included on all plans
Drawbacks
- −No published prices
- −Quote-based pricing makes comparison harder
- −Operator AI for call capture is a separate product

Core from $29 per month billed annually ($49 monthly) for 1 user; Connect $99 and Grow $149 per month billed annually
Quoted from the Jobber pricing page on November 6, 2026:
$49/mo $ 29 /mo Billed annually
Jobber is the easiest tool here to get running, and its Core plan costs $29 a month billed annually, or $49 month to month, for 1 user. Core covers online booking, quotes, invoices with online payments, a simple website and built-in reporting. Connect, at $99 billed annually, adds automated client reminders, automatic payment collection, job checklists, automated quote and invoice follow-ups, QuickBooks Online sync and time and expense tracking. Grow, at $149, adds visual quotes, optional line items for upsells, job costing, two-way SMS and custom workflow automations. Add-ons include an AI Receptionist for $29 a month, a Sales Pipeline for $49 and a Marketing Suite for $99. For HVAC work, the gap is depth: the pricing page lists no membership or service agreement module, flat-rate pricebook or equipment history, so shops built on maintenance plans will find more in Housecall Pro MAX, Workiz or FieldPulse.
Strengths
- +Lowest published paid entry price on this list, tied with ServiceM8
- +Simple setup for small crews
- +Free trial with no credit card
Drawbacks
- −Listed prices cover 1 user
- −Pricing page does not list a membership or service agreement module

Free plan for 1 user and 30 jobs a month; Starter $29 per month for 50 jobs with unlimited users
Quoted from the ServiceM8 pricing page on November 6, 2026:
Starter $29/mo Unlimited Users
ServiceM8 prices by job volume rather than by user, which makes it unusually cheap for small HVAC companies with several techs. The free plan covers 1 user and 30 jobs a month. Paid plans include unlimited users: Starter costs $29 a month for 50 jobs, Growing $79 for 150, Premium $149 for 500 and Premium Plus $349 for 1500+ jobs. Every plan includes recurring jobs, which ServiceM8 describes as a way to simplify repeat work, contracts or maintenance, along with asset management, forms and certificates, proposals, job costing, deposits, progress invoices and an AI writing helper. That covers tune-up schedules and equipment records for a small shop. The limits show as a business grows: a busy HVAC company in peak season can run through 50 or 150 jobs quickly, and the pricing page does not list a membership billing module of the kind ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro or FieldPulse offer.
Strengths
- +Permanent free plan for solo operators
- +Unlimited users on every paid plan
- +Recurring jobs included on all plans
Drawbacks
- −Plans are capped by jobs per month
- −Starter covers only 50 jobs a month
- −No dedicated membership or service agreement billing module listed

Price
Start $60 per month for 5 users; Run $119 for 10 users; Scale $199 for 20 users; 20% off with annual billing
Quoted from the Kickserv pricing page on November 6, 2026:
Start 5 users $ 60 /mo
Kickserv is a low-cost option for small HVAC teams that need the basics. Start costs $60 a month for 5 users and includes an embeddable contact form for your website, automated email and text reminders, over 20 business reports, time and expense tracking and a QuickBooks Online integration. Run, at $119 for 10 users, adds dispatch mapping, GPS check-ins, custom data fields and custom reports, and Scale, at $199 for 20 users, adds custom templates and reviews. Annual billing saves 20%, and the Kickback program cuts monthly fees by 5% for companies that process a minimum amount in online payments, starting at $1,000 a month on Start. Kickserv is a general field service tool, though, and its pricing page lists no membership, service agreement, flat-rate or equipment tracking features, so HVAC companies that sell maintenance plans will outgrow it sooner than they would Housecall Pro or FieldPulse.
Strengths
- +5 users for $60 a month
- +30-day free trial
- +Kickback program takes 5% off fees when payment volume targets are met
Drawbacks
- −No HVAC-specific membership or agreement tools listed
- −Dispatch mapping needs the Run plan

Successware is a cloud-hosted platform for small and medium home service companies, and HVAC is first on its list of industries. Its main difference from the other tools here is integrated accounting: Successware keeps the books in the same system as call booking, scheduling, dispatch and invoicing, so price book items and invoices flow to the back office without a QuickBooks sync. Scheduling covers new and recurring jobs, the mobile app supports one-click digital invoicing, and an inventory module tracks the parts on hand and the parts needed. Success Tools add mobile timecards, online contactless payments and an omnichannel communications platform, and customers get online courses for the office and mobile apps. On the downside, prices are only available through a live demo, and the public feature pages we reviewed do not describe membership or service agreement tools, so ask to see them in the demo.
Strengths
- +Accounting lives in the same system as jobs and the price book
- +Built for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, IAQ and other home services
- +Online learning courses for office and mobile users
Drawbacks
- −No published prices
- −Membership features are not described on its public feature pages
- −Fewer self-serve details than newer tools
- Deployment
- Cloud-hosted with a mobile app
- Accounting
- Integrated, built in
- Industries

What to check before you buy
Check which plan sells maintenance agreements
Service agreements and memberships are the feature HVAC buyers care about most, and vendors place them on different tiers. ServiceTitan lists customizable memberships in all three packages, Housecall Pro lists recurring service plans on MAX, Workiz includes service plans only on Ultimate, and FieldEdge gives basic agreements on Select and advanced agreements on Premier and Elite.
Price by trucks and users, not just the headline fee
Pricing models differ a lot. Service Fusion and ServiceM8 include unlimited users, Kickserv caps users per plan at 5, 10 and 20, Housecall Pro includes 1, 5 or 8 users, and Jobber's listed prices are for 1 user. ServiceTitan and FieldPulse price per technician or seat by quote, and FieldEdge plans include 2, 4 or 6 mobile app licenses.
Look for flat-rate pricing and good, better, best quotes
Replacement sales drive HVAC revenue, so multi-option quotes and a flat-rate pricebook matter. FieldEdge offers Proposal Pro and multi-option quotes on higher plans, Workiz and Housecall Pro present good, better, best options, and ServiceTitan includes a pricebook and mobile estimates in every package.
Plan for the busy season
Missed calls in a heat wave cost installs. Workiz offers Genius AI answering, FieldPulse sells Operator AI to capture leads and book jobs, and Jobber sells an AI Receptionist add-on for $29 a month. Route optimization and GPS tracking, offered by Housecall Pro, FieldEdge and Service Fusion, help when the board is full.
Decide how accounting will work
Most tools sync with QuickBooks: FieldEdge supports QuickBooks Online and Desktop, Kickserv charges $50 a month for the QuickBooks Desktop link, and FieldPulse syncs invoices and payments both ways with QuickBooks Online. Successware is the exception, with accounting built into the platform.
