10 Best CRM for Small Business of 2026

By the TopToolAdvisor research desk · Updated November 6, 2026 · Next review December 21, 2026 · 10 products scored

Our pickHubSpot CRMSmall sales teams that want to start free and pay only when they need more control.8.9

Our pick in brief

HubSpot CRM is the best first CRM for most small sales teams: two people can use it free with no expiry, and Starter is $15 per seat when the team grows. Bigin by Zoho is the value pick at $7 per seat billed yearly, with a pipeline-first design and built-in calling. Pipedrive has the clearest deal pipeline, Freshsales puts phone and email on a $9 plan, and Less Annoying CRM is the simplest to buy with one $15 plan that includes everything.

Quick answer

HubSpot CRM is the best CRM for small businesses with a few salespeople in 2026, with a free plan for two users and Starter from $15 per seat per month; Bigin by Zoho suits small teams that want a simple pipeline for very little money. The cheapest paid option is Bigin Express at $7 per user per month billed yearly.

This list is for small businesses with a handful of people selling, usually two to ten, that want a CRM they can set up in a week and afford every month. We compared documented features and published prices for ten CRMs, with extra weight on what the entry and second tiers include, because that is where small teams stay. Scores cover features, ease of use and value, and the overall score is a weighted average of the three. Prices come from each vendor's own pricing page on the date shown, and prices we could not confirm in US dollars are marked as pending.

    Price

Free plan for up to 2 users; Starter from $15 per seat per month (new customer discount), Professional from $50, Enterprise from $75

Quoted from the HubSpot CRM pricing page on November 6, 2026: Starter Starts at $15/month per seat*

For a small business with two to five people selling, HubSpot is the safest first CRM because the free tier already covers the daily basics: contacts, deal pipelines, CRM import, a reporting dashboard and the Breeze Assistant. Two people can work in it at no cost for as long as they like, which makes it easy to prove the habit before paying. When the team grows past two seats or needs cleaner data, Starter adds required fields, permission sets and multiple currencies for $15 per seat per month, a price HubSpot marks as a new-customer discount. The bigger step is Professional from $50 per seat, where duplicate management, contact scoring, calculated properties and custom reporting live. Most small teams can stay on Starter for a long time. The tradeoff is that the cost curve gets steep at the top, so plan for it if you expect to hire several more reps.

    Strengths

    • +The free plan is a working CRM, not a time-limited trial
    • +Starter is cheap enough for a team of three or four sellers
    • +Upgrades keep the same data with no migration

    Drawbacks

    • −The free plan covers two users and 1,000 contacts
    • −Custom reporting needs Professional at $50 per seat
    • −The $15 Starter price is a discount for new customers

Free for a single user; Express $7 per user per month billed yearly ($9 monthly), Premier $12 billed yearly ($15 monthly)

Quoted from the Bigin by Zoho pricing page on November 6, 2026: Express US$ 9 US$ 7 /user/month/billed yearly

Bigin is what Zoho built for businesses that find a full CRM too much, and it shows in how the product is organized. Everything starts from a pipeline with customizable stages, and contacts, companies, products, calls, tasks and events hang off it. The free edition gives one user a single pipeline, 500 records, three automations and a built-in phone that can make, receive and record calls. Express, at $7 per user per month billed yearly or $9 monthly, is where a small team lands: three team pipelines, 50,000 records, 30 automations, mass emails with insights and email and WhatsApp Business integration. Premier at $12 billed yearly adds five pipelines and more room. The limits are real, with extra pipelines and records sold as add-ons, and reporting is a standard dashboard of charts and KPIs rather than a custom report builder. For a team of a few sellers who mainly need to see every deal and follow up on time, those limits rarely bite.

    Strengths

    • +Express is the cheapest paid seat on this list
    • +Built-in calling is included from the free edition
    • +Pipelines are the center of the product, so there is little to learn

    Drawbacks

    • −The free edition is for one user and 500 records
    • −Express allows three team pipelines before add-ons
    • −Fewer reporting and customization options than Zoho CRM

We could not confirm a US price yet. Check the Pipedrive pricing page.

Pipedrive suits a small business where selling is a sequence of deals, each sitting in a stage until someone moves it forward. The Lite plan covers lead, calendar and pipeline management, spreadsheet or CRM import, AI-powered report creation from text prompts and access to more than 500 integrations. Pipedrive also lists Nova, its meeting intelligence tool, on Lite: a brief before each meeting, a call transcript and CRM updates ready to approve afterward. For most teams the plan to price is Growth, which adds full Gmail or Outlook sync with open and click tracking, bulk email, automations, nurturing sequences, subscription and forecast reports and a meeting scheduler. Premium adds lead capture tools and Ultimate adds account security rules. There is no free plan, only a 14-day trial with no card, and the pricing page showed euros here, so we have left the USD price pending. Check the US price on the vendor page before comparing it with HubSpot or Freshsales.

    Strengths

    • +The pipeline view is easy for new reps to read
    • +A 14-day free trial needs no credit card
    • +Meeting intelligence is listed on the entry plan

    Drawbacks

    Price

Growth from $9 per user per month billed annually; Pro $39, Enterprise $59

Quoted from the Freshsales pricing page on November 6, 2026: $9 /user/month, billed annually For startups and SMBs Growth

Freshsales packs a lot into its entry plan for a small sales team. Growth, at $9 per user per month billed annually and described by Freshworks as for startups and SMBs, includes a Kanban view, contact lifecycle stages, chat, email and phone, email templates, custom fields and basic workflows. That covers the core work of a few reps who call and email leads all day without buying a separate phone tool. The next step is a large one: Pro at $39 per user adds contact scoring, deal insights, custom sales activities, territory management and sales sequences, and Enterprise at $59 adds forecasting insights, field-level permissions, custom modules and a sandbox. AI comes as the Freddy AI Agent add-on at $49 per 100 sessions, and branded documents cost $19 per user per month. A small team that stays on Growth gets strong value. A team that needs sequences should compare the Pro price with Pipedrive Growth and HubSpot Starter.

    Strengths

    • +Growth is one of the cheapest team plans we compared
    • +Phone and email are included without an add-on
    • +A clear path to scoring and sequences on Pro

    Drawbacks

    • −No permanent free plan
    • −Sequences and territory management wait for Pro at $39

One plan at $15 per user per month plus tax, no contracts

Quoted from the Less Annoying CRM pricing page on November 6, 2026: $15 per user per month + applicable tax

Less Annoying CRM is the most literal answer to a small business that wants a simple, affordable CRM. There is one plan at $15 per user per month plus tax, no tiers, no contracts and no features held back for an upgrade. That plan includes unlimited contacts, companies and pipelines, task management, email logging, mobile access, user permissions, unlimited custom fields and 25GB of storage per user. Support by email and phone is free for everyone, including people still on the 30-day trial, and the company says it has made simple CRM for small businesses since 2009. HIPAA compliance is included, with a BAA available, which matters for small health practices. What you give up is depth: there is no workflow automation suite, AI assistant or sequence builder to compare with HubSpot or Freshsales, and the vendor suggests staying below about 50,000 contacts. For a few people who need to remember every customer and follow up on time, that is often enough.

    Strengths

    • +One price with no feature tiers or contracts
    • +Free email and phone support, even during the trial
    • +A 30-day trial with no credit card

    Drawbacks

    • −No free plan
    • −Fewer automation and AI features than larger CRMs

Quoted from the Nutshell pricing page on November 6, 2026: $13 Per user, per month Save $6/month with annual billing

Nutshell aims at small businesses that want one tool for selling and light marketing. Every subscription includes webchat, an AI chatbot, a form builder, landing pages, email marketing capabilities and attribution reporting, and every plan has unlimited contacts and storage with email and calendar sync. Foundation is listed at $13 per user per month, with a discount for annual billing. Growth at $25 adds activity reports, sales quotas, lead assignment rules, custom stage goals and hot leads, and Pro at $42 adds five custom pipelines, advanced reporting, sales automation, a meeting scheduler and AI lead recaps. AI usage is metered: each plan gets a monthly number of AI outcomes, such as call summaries or lead scoring, starting at 10 on Foundation. Nutshell offers free live support, free data migration during the trial and free onboarding, and states there are no setup fees. The catch is that automation sits on Pro, so a team that wants it pays about three times the entry price.

    Strengths

    • +Unlimited contacts even on the entry plan
    • +Free live support and onboarding for every customer
    • +No setup fees or implementation costs

Zoho CRM is the choice for a small business that is simple today but expects to need real sales operations soon. The free edition, listed as free forever for three users, includes leads, deals, workflows, reports and a mobile app. Standard, which Zoho labels beginner-friendly, adds workflows and assignment rules, AI agents, cadences for multichannel follow-up, custom reports and dashboards, sales forecasting and a no-code tool for custom screens. Professional adds CPQ with price rules, email intelligence, a step-by-step process blueprint for reps, widgets, inventory management and a Google Ads integration. That is more capability per tier than most CRMs on this list, but it comes with more settings to configure, and a team of three that only needs a pipeline may find Bigin easier. The pricing page loaded without USD figures here, so the price is pending. Check the US page, then compare Standard against HubSpot Starter and Pipedrive Growth.

    Strengths

    • +The free edition covers three users
    • +Standard already includes workflows, cadences and forecasting
    • +A clear upgrade path to Bigin's bigger sibling features

    Drawbacks

Free plan for up to 2 users; Starter $18, Growth $36, Advanced $54, Ultimate $72 per user per month billed annually

Quoted from the Capsule CRM pricing page on November 6, 2026: Paid plans are priced per user, per month: Starter $18, Growth $36, Advanced $54 and Ultimate $72 when billed annually

Capsule is a calm, uncluttered CRM that suits small service firms more than high-volume sales floors. The free plan lets two users try the basics with 250 contacts, five custom fields and one sales pipeline. Starter, at $18 per user per month billed annually or $22 monthly and pitched by Capsule as ideal for teams of one to five, raises the limit to 30,000 contacts and adds email templates, a shared mailbox for addresses like sales@, premium integrations with tools such as Xero and Zendesk, an AI pipeline generator and custom activity types. Growth at $36 adds five sales pipelines, five project boards, workflow automations and advanced reporting, which is useful for businesses that deliver work after the sale. Capsule states there are no setup or onboarding fees, and every paid plan starts with a 14-day trial without a card. The weakness is price per feature: Bigin and Freshsales include more for less at entry level.

    Strengths

    • +A free plan for two users
    • +Starter has room for 30,000 contacts
    • +Project boards sit next to the sales pipeline

    Drawbacks

    • −The free plan stops at 250 contacts

monday CRM is a good fit when a small business already runs projects in monday.com and wants deals tracked the same way. Everything lives on boards built from dozens of column types, with dashboards on top. The Basic plan is tight for a sales team: one workspace, one custom dashboard, 1,000 active contacts and deals, five columns per board and 20 quotes and invoices a month. Standard is the realistic choice, with three workspaces, five custom dashboards, 10,000 active contacts and deals and AI credits for features such as an outreach caller agent, a lead sourcer agent, a meeting prep agent and an AI meeting notetaker. That is a lot of AI for a mid-tier plan, but it also means more to learn than Bigin or Less Annoying CRM. The pricing page showed euros from this location and states that yearly billing saves up to 33 percent, so we have marked the USD price as pending. Check how many seats the plan you choose requires before you compare totals.

    Strengths

    • +Boards are flexible and familiar to monday.com users
    • +Quotes and invoices are built in
    • +AI agents are included from Standard

    Drawbacks

    • −Basic is limited to 1,000 active contacts and deals

Plus from $29 per user per month billed annually; Professional $49; Enterprise $99

Quoted from the Insightly pricing page on November 6, 2026: $29 per user / month All prices USD, billed annually

Insightly is best known for combining CRM and project management, and that combination is available from its entry plan. Plus, at $29 per user per month billed annually and pitched at small teams, includes lead and contact management, project management, advanced reports and pre-built business dashboards. Professional at $49 adds lead assignment and routing, workflow automation and the AI Copilot, and Enterprise at $99 adds sandboxes, products, pricebooks, quotes and comprehensive audit logging. For a small business that sells a service and then delivers it, having the project attached to the won deal avoids a second tool. The cost is the issue for the readers of this list. Plus costs more than three times Bigin Express and nearly twice Less Annoying CRM, and automation sits a tier higher still. Teams that need projects should also compare Capsule Growth, which pairs pipelines and project boards for $36.

What to check before you buy

Decide what simple means for your team

For some teams simple means one screen of deals, which points to Bigin or Pipedrive. For others it means one price with no tiers, which is Less Annoying CRM. Write down the three things each seller does every day, such as logging calls, sending follow-ups and updating deal stages, and test only those in each trial.

Count seats and records, not just the price

Free and entry plans cap users or records. HubSpot's free plan covers two users and 1,000 contacts, Capsule's free plan two users and 250 contacts, Bigin's free edition one user and 500 records, and monday CRM Basic 1,000 active contacts and deals. Multiply the seat price by your real team size and check the record limit against your contact list.

Find the tier where automation starts

Automated follow-ups are often the reason a small team buys a CRM, and they rarely sit on the cheapest plan. Pipedrive puts automations and sequences on Growth, Capsule puts workflow automations on Growth, Nutshell puts sales automation on Pro and Insightly puts workflow automation on Professional. Bigin Express includes 30 automations and Freshsales Growth includes basic workflows.

Check how you will talk to customers

If your team lives on the phone, built-in calling saves a separate tool: Bigin includes a phone from its free edition and Freshsales includes phone on Growth. If you need web leads, Nutshell includes forms, landing pages and webchat with every plan. If you send quotes, monday CRM includes quotes and invoices.

Run the trial on real deals

Every vendor here offers a free plan or a trial of 14 to 30 days. Import a real slice of your contacts, connect your email and have each seller use it for a normal week. The CRM your team still opens on day five is usually the right one.

Common questions

What is the best CRM for a small business?
HubSpot CRM is our top pick for small businesses with a few salespeople, with a free plan for two users and Starter from $15 per seat per month. Bigin by Zoho is the best value at $7 per user per month billed yearly, and Pipedrive is the best choice for teams that work from a deal pipeline.
What is the cheapest CRM for a small team?
Bigin Express is the cheapest paid plan we compared at $7 per user per month billed yearly, or $9 billed monthly. Freshsales Growth costs $9 per user per month billed annually and includes phone and email. HubSpot, Zoho CRM, Bigin and Capsule also have free plans with user limits.
Is there a free CRM for small businesses?
Yes. HubSpot's free plan covers two users and 1,000 contacts, Zoho CRM's free edition covers three users, Capsule's free plan covers two users and 250 contacts, and Bigin's free edition covers one user and 500 records. Pipedrive, Freshsales, Nutshell, Less Annoying CRM and Insightly offer trials instead.
Which small business CRM is easiest to use?
Less Annoying CRM and HubSpot CRM are the easiest to adopt on our list. Less Annoying CRM has one plan with every feature and free phone support, and HubSpot lets two people start free. Bigin and Pipedrive are also easy because the deal pipeline is the main screen.
Do small businesses need a CRM with automation?
Not always. A team of two or three can do well with a pipeline, tasks and email logging. Once follow-ups start slipping, automation pays off, and it starts at Bigin Express, Freshsales Growth and Pipedrive Growth, or at higher tiers on Nutshell, Capsule and Insightly.
How did we rank these CRMs?
We compared documented features and published prices from each vendor's own pages. Each CRM gets scores for features, ease of use and value, and the overall score weights them 35, 35 and 30.
